THE WILDWOOD SWINE

The Wildwood Swine

The Wildwood Swine are an enthusiastic Ceredigion based four piece playing acoustic music from across Britain and beyond, as their interests take them. They have been playing together in various incarnations for more than a decade and take their name from one of their favourite traditional ballads "Famous Flower of Serving Men", as sung by the great Martin Carthy. Their music comprises up-beat dance tunes and songs, mainly from Wales, Ireland and Scotland, interspersed with more delicate airs and ballads. The band occasionally interpret more contemporary material in a "traditional" style.

The current line-up includes: multi-instrumentalist Jon Davies (Fiddle, Mandola, Whistles and Vocals), Martin Wright (Guitar, Vocals), instrument maker and wild wood worker Mick Wall (his own Bodhrans and various percussion) and Mark Wyer (Mandolin). The Wildwood Swine are available for bookings at local pub venues and other functions (weddings, birthdays, parties etc.).
